Youth for Green Nature (Y4GN) is a youth organization dedicated to environmental education, community empowerment, and climate justice in Africa. Founded to transform youth eco-anxiety into tangible actions, we educate, equip, and position the new generation as leaders of nature-climate solutions.
Through workshops, agroecological projects, and inclusive advocacy, we combat the current crisis of accelerated warming, biodiversity loss, and inequalities by fostering resilient and equitable local initiatives.
Our Mission
To educate, equip, and mobilize African youth to transform eco-anxiety into tangible actions by developing innovative nature-climate solutions, promoting agroecology, and advocating for inclusive policies that strengthen community resilience and biodiversity conservation in the face of climate crises and inequalities.
Areas of Intervention
1. Biodiversity Conservation
We engage communities in participatory conservation projects, ecosystem restoration, and the protection of endangered species. Our initiatives aim to preserve Africa’s natural wealth and promote harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
2. Community Resilience and Climate Adaptation
We support the development of local initiatives that strengthen communities’ capacity to adapt to the impacts of climate change. This includes promoting resilient agricultural practices, sustainable water resource management, and strengthening green infrastructure.
3. Innovation and Nature-Climate Solutions
We encourage and support the development of innovative nature-based solutions to address climate challenges. This includes research, the development of green technologies, and the promotion of circular and sustainable economic models.
